So if you read my last post...I didn't make it to my next appointment :)
On Friday, November 11, my contractions were 10 minutes apart but of course they didn't hurt at all so I didn't think baby boy was coming. I went to bed around 10pm and woke up at 10:50pm because my water broke! I was a little disoriented and panicked haha. Brandon got my mom, a towel, and a trash bag and we hopped in the car and headed to the hospital.
We got to the hospital just after 11pm and checked in. The nurse checked me at 5 cm and 80% effaced. That's when the hard labor started. Brandon quickly put on my hypnobirthing cd and I tried to relax. Brandon, Mom, and Nurse Monica were SO amazing and helped keep me relaxed throughout my labor. We did such a good job that I started to doze of during contractions.
At 1:15am I started feeling really nauseous so my nurse checked me again because she thought I might be in transition. She said, "Oh! You're at a 9 and your cervix is gone. I need to go call your doctor!" After she checked me, my body immediately started bearing down, ready to get our little guy out. It was the weirdest feeling ever. It felt totally involuntary, my body was just doing all the work, I didn't even have to try!
Within a few minutes my nurse could see baby Carter's head! I had the hugest smile and could not wait to hold my boy. That's when my nurse put her hand on Carter's head and said, "Renee, I need you to slow down, your doctor isn't here yet." YEA RIGHT! I tried for a few seconds but I didn't know how to stop it. At 1:31am, Nurse Monica delivered baby Carter.
My doctor walked in just a few minutes after that (He came from Am. Fork Hospital, a 15 minute drive to Timp Hospital).
My nurse gave Carter to me as soon as he was out and I got to hold him for almost 2 hours before they started his newborn procedures. Brandon got to cut the umbilical cord and be with him everywhere he went. My doctor spent a good hour stitching me up afterward. I had three 2nd degree tears because little man came out with his hand up at his shoulder...awesome. It actually wasn't bad at all and recovery has been a lot easier than I thought...probably my easiest recovery all year!
Anyways, after a few hours they took us to our recovery room. We had TONS of visitors while we were there. I probably got about 3 hours of sleep the entire stay because all I wanted to do was stare at my sweet little son!
The entire experience was incredible. I don't think it could have gone any better. I'm so glad our little one is here with us. He is so perfect!!
P.s. HypnoBirthing is the best! If you're planning on going natural, I highly recommend this class!

Birthday Weekend!

My Birthday was SO eventful this year!

I woke up bright and early for work and Brandon had breakfast waiting for me downstairs along with...Paint stuff for my craft room!!! I was SO excited! So after work we ordered my favorite Chinese take-out and got to work on my room.
Then of Friday night (about 1am) I got a call from my cute cousin Dom (the damsel in distress) She said she was locked out of her apartment and needed a place to sleep so I got out of bed and waited for her to get to our house. When she arrived, a 6'6'' birthday surprise followed her in....MY BROTHER!!!!!! I was SOOOO excited!! We stayed up for a few more hours and chatted the night away.
THEN on Saturday night, we went to the APX Nitro Circus show. FUN!!
I took work off on Monday to hang out with my bro bro. His flight came WAY too fast! It was off to California for him and back to work for me. It was an AWESOME birthday! Thanks handsome hubby for making my birthday amazing! Thanks mom and dad, Cj, Dan, and Am for my birthday surprise, cards and presents! And thank you everyone else!!! LOVE YOU!

What a cool kid!

Today is my brother's Eagle Scout Project. He and a group of friends and family are gathering as we speak to pave the grounds of the Santa Clarita Emergency Winter Shelter.

A brief description of Cj's project:

The Santa Clarita Emergency Winter Shelter takes in homeless families during the cold winter months providing food, clothes, and refuge from the harsh outdoor environment. The dirt parking lot for the shelter presents a problem during inclement weather for delivery trucks and volunteer workers. In order to address this problem we will be leveling this section and paving it with gravel.

Birthdays!!

This week was my little sister Amber's birthday.

She is one of the sweetest, most genuine, creative, intelligent, spunky girls I know!

And on Thursday she turned 12!

Happy Birthday AM BAM!!! We love you so much and are so proud of all of your accomplishments. Wish we could have celebrated with you...maybe next year ;)

This week was also my birthday! On Wednesday I turned 21!! I'm a big kid now :)

The morning started off with me going through the many fb messages, texts, voice mails of my siblings and friends trying to be the 'first' to say happy birthday! Then I went to work and we had a little birthday bash. My co-workers decorated my desk and we celebrated with cake and ice cream!

After work Brandon and I went to dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen and then we walked over to the mall to pick out my birthday present. Oddly enough I was in a weird mood and could not find anything I was in love with...then right as we were leaving Brandon found this awesome skirt...

Cute huh? After a little shopping we went home to open my gifts!

I got this beautiful graduation plaque from my parents. I have no idea how they got that picture but isn't it awesome?!

I also got clothes from Victoria's Secret!

Steve & Shelly also sent me a package with a huge jar of candy that is already a third gone because I take everywhere with me :) They also got me this sweater and a little tank to go under it...

and this perfume from VS that I am IN LOVE with!

After we opened presents I went into the bedroom to put some stuff away and I found this wonderful surprise!!! I have wanted this bedding FOREVER...see Brandon took me shopping at the mall to make me think he didn't get me anything when really he had already come home and set up this wonderful surprise <3

We also got Season 2 of Prison Break!! I already had the 1st season and I begged Brandon to watch it with me and now he's hooked! We finished the 1st season in about a week and we've already made a good dent in the 2nd season :)

I also got a bunch of cards and gift cards from Great Grandma Carol, Grandma and Grandpa, Hermana Anderson, Auntie Nani, Uncle Dave, Jaymi, Sara & Lila. What a happy birthday!!! Thank you to everyone for your birthday wishes and gifts. I love you lots!!

Happy Father's Day Dad!!

Things that remind me of you Dad: building block castles, hard work, always giving 110%, M-Field, political chat rooms, random phrases being shouted about the house, blue oatmeal, role model, pink lemonade, broadening my horizons through classical & rock music, amazing support system, sitting in Burger King for hours just talking, Webers, Hollyweird, late night trips to Vons, steak outs (namely that peeping Tom we called the cops on), fun adventures in the valley, Don Cuco, making me do things I didn't want to do that ended up being very helpful, always knowing which of my friends were real friends, net nanny & TV guardian, work boots, playing name that song/artist for a quarter, hotel pools, Vegas fight scene, supercross, monster truck shows, sports games, concerts, inspiration, gas, church, yummy BBQ, falling asleep in the middle of the bed waiting for you to come home from work (I don't remember that but I've seen pictures), your awesome Halloween costumes, great movie recommendations, painting your toe nails rainbow colored when you were drugged up after tearing the ligaments in your leg, camping, hiking, shooting, and tons tons more fun!

Thank you so much for all that you do Dad! I love you and can't wait to see you on Friday!!

Today is my cute little sisters birthday...

YESTERDAY...

Yesterday was my 20th birthday!

Brandon was so cute...he couldn't wait for my birthday so before we went to bed he gave me my first gift...then at midnight my little brother C.J. called to tell me happy birthday!...he was really excited to be the first!

I woke up to breakfast in bed...then it was off to school...as I walked out the door I found flowers, cookies, and a cute card from my best girls, Ash and Whit.

After my classes Brandon picked me up and took me out to Salt Lake for dinner at THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY!! DeLiCiOuS. After dinner I went home to a SPOTLESS house...and lots more presents. Brandon got me the new iPod nano, an iHome, Lucas candy, Reeses, IBC, and a super cute picture frame! After presents we watched P.S. I Love You...

Yesterday was such an amazing day! I had one of the best birthdays ever...thanks to my handsome hubby! He spoils me soooo good! And I'll be the first to admit it :-)

Today is Brandon, Cameron, and Adam's birthday!

HaPpY 24th BoYs!!

I'm not sure how Cam or Adam celebrated their big day...but Brandon started his off with breakfast in bed!

Then it was off to work...after work (with some help from his friends) I surprised him with dinner from Happy Sumo, Iron man (one of his favorite movies), yummy chocolate dessert, and a new T.V. stand!

We also had time to go to our friends ultimate frisbee game!

All in all we had a pretty fun day!
