This was Brandon and my first camping experience together and it was so much fun!
We were so excited to go camping that we laid our sleeping bag out on the floor and camped in the spare room the night before we left...we just couldn't wait!
After work...it was off to Tibble Fork for our camping/fishing adventure!
Brandon and his friend Mark spent some time fishing at lake while I scouted out the camp grounds.
We saw this cute grandpa teaching his grandson to fish.
This is the delicious dinner Brandon made me!
We woke up to rolling thunder and this lovely rainstorm!
Our morning started a little stormy but the day cleared up and turned out to be so beautiful.
The lake was sooo amazing, we didn't want to leave...
...but it won't be long until we're back up there!

Camping is such a great way to get away from the hum-drum. But, I don't know about camping in the rain. Did your tent leak? I remember getting to Carp one year before anyone else and setting up my tent. Actually I couldn't set it up by myself and finally a ranger came by and helped me. We got it up just before it started to pour. It cam down in buckets - just about like it did for you in your picture. Anyway, I crawled in the tent to wait it out and the water started seeping in all around the bottom of the tent. I used the newspaper I had brought to start fires to sop up the water. I was about ready to give up and go home, but the sun finally came out and I became more courageous and then Andrea showed up and cheered me up.

Haha! yea our tent did leak a bit...but it was so much fun and such a beautiful place we didn't mind rain. I can't wait to bring Brandon to Carpinteria! Oh I miss it already! Love you guys and we miss you!

Looks like so much fun! And such a gorgeous spot . . . actual camping compared to running water/flushed toilets/hot showers-Carpinteria camping. You guys are so cute! Definitely have to plan to camp at Carp next summer to 'break' Brandon in to that tradition.
WOO HOO! You know it, I'm so excited for Brandon to experience Carp with the fam! It's one of my favorite family traditions!
